About

I came to marketing through the server room.

I started fixing computers in high school over twenty years ago, and was configuring surveillance networks professionally by 2010. By 2016 I was running my own studio. Today most of my work is search: finding why a site is not ranking, and then actually going in and fixing it.

The short version

20+ years in IT, ten of them running growth. Eight roles across Bosnia, Germany, Czechia and the United States, most of them remote or hybrid long before that was normal.

The first half of that career was hands on. I designed and built business networks, ran help desks, installed and serviced fiscal registers, configured video and audio surveillance systems, and repaired hardware down to soldering individual chips back onto boards. If it had a circuit or a config file, it came across my bench.

The second half has been marketing, and the two turn out to be the same job. A site that will not rank usually has something broken underneath it, and most marketers cannot see that far down. I can, because I spent years on the other side of it.

That is the whole pitch, really. I can read a crawl, find the problem, and then log in and fix it, without a three way call between the agency, the developer and the host.

How I work

Findings before opinions

Every recommendation traces back to something observed in a crawl, in Search Console, or in the logs. If I cannot show you where it came from, I do not send it.

Ranked by impact, not by ease

An audit that lists 200 issues is a way of avoiding the decision. I tell you the handful that will move the number and what each one costs to fix.

I do the work, not just the deck

Technical fixes, template changes, redirects, schema, server configuration. I have run production WordPress, WooCommerce and Magento sites for a decade, plus customized web solutions and apps.

No retainers you cannot leave

Start with the free audit. If we work together after that, it is because the first piece of work was worth it.

Case study

Swiss Knife SEO

The thing I am proudest of, and the clearest answer to why my audits go deeper than most.

The problem

Running SEO for multiple Magento B2B sites and a 35,000 listing German directory, I was paying for a crawler, a rank tracker, two separate backlink indexes, a reporting layer, a writing assistant, and top tier plans on both of the leading AI assistants. Eight subscriptions, eight logins, eight different ideas about what a URL is.

None of them answered the questions I actually had. Which internal links are duplicated on the same page. Which anchor text is doing nothing. Which of the 56 subcategory pages are empty. Which single filter URL is quietly carrying most of the traffic.

What I built

A distributed crawl and analysis platform, not a script with a web page on top: a Python and Django application over PostgreSQL and Redis, with a queued worker fleet, a headless rendering service for JavaScript heavy pages, and its own proxy handling. It crawls up to 250,000 URLs per site and turns one crawl into more than 40 reports. Status aware, position aware and anchor aware, so a link in the footer is not treated the same as one in the body copy.

It now runs a rank tracker, an AI visibility module for how brands surface in AI answers, accessibility checking against WCAG, and integrations with both Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4. There are 38 instant tools that need no setup at all, an AI Tools Studio carrying 100 workflows, and the whole interface ships in English and German.

Where it got to

What started as a private tool for my own client work is now a live product with five market editions, its own help center and a public marketing site. It is also the reason the free audit on this site is worth requesting: I am not running your domain through someone else's trial account.

  • Five editions live. Separate domains and content for the international, German and United States markets, each with its own release validator.
  • Bilingual interface. English and German throughout the application, not just the marketing pages.
  • Privacy first by default. Analytics consent gated, advertising signals off, and a documented security posture.

Experience

20+ years, eight roles, four countries

The formal record starts in 2010 and runs newest first. Before any of it I was already running my own repair work: computers, laptops and phones for people across town, brought in with printed cards at first and then almost entirely by word of mouth. A real customer base before I had a job title, and where both the technical instinct and the habit of earning work by reputation came from.

Business Owner
Visual Media Factory · Self-employed

My freelancing agency, and the through line of the last decade. Marketing, content production, customized web solutions and cloud partner for businesses that want one person accountable for the whole thing rather than four vendors pointing at each other. In practice that runs from securing a domain and standing up the business profiles and Maps listing, through full site builds and moving back office processes to the cloud, to planning and running campaigns measured on sales and leads rather than impressions. Clients across Europe and North America.

Head of Growth and Organic Marketing
Benlola · Full-time

Owned organic growth for the entire client base. Built and ran data driven SEO and marketing programs end to end, from the opening technical audit through content strategy, execution and reporting. The part that actually mattered was the analysis: reading results closely enough to keep refining the approach instead of repeating last quarter's plan. Hands on throughout, writing and shipping the work rather than reviewing someone else's.

Regionales Firmenverzeichnis · Full-time

Research, planning and execution across marketing campaigns, reputation management, social media and search engine optimization for a German business directory. Large catalog SEO on a directory model, where thousands of near identical listing pages quietly compete with each other unless the structure is deliberate. That is where most of my internal linking, canonical and template level habits come from, and why directory work still feels like home ground.

JW Maxx Solutions · Full-time

Ran a portfolio of online branding and reputation projects for a United States agency working in reputation defense, repair and management. Site design, SEO, online marketing campaigns, graphic design and social media across a mixed client book. My first sustained work in the American market, and my first exposure to search as damage control rather than growth, which teaches you quickly how much a single result can cost someone.

Network Administrator
MKF Prizma · Contract

A short contract for a micro credit foundation whose branches had to exchange client data with head office reliably and without exposing it. Network administration, branch system maintenance and optimization, and responsive help desk support for staff. A small brief, but moving financial records between sites concentrates the mind on getting the configuration right the first time.

Co-Owner and Store Manager
M-Shop · Full-time

Co-owned a retail and repair business for phones, tablets, laptops, desktops and accessories. Sourcing and pricing stock, bench repair, and everything across the counter. The first company I was responsible for rather than a department inside someone else's, which is a different kind of pressure: a quiet month is nobody's problem to solve but yours.

Jun 2012 to Dec 2014 · 2 yrs 7 mos · Bosnia and Herzegovina
Store Manager
Eltic · Full-time

Eltic was one of the leading suppliers of computers, laptops, fiscal registers and network equipment in the region. I diagnosed and repaired hardware, peripherals and network systems, handled sales and the customer help desk, ran system upgrades and security work, and designed customized network solutions for clients. I also ran the company's entire online sales operation, which is where the e-commerce side of my work began and why product catalogs have never intimidated me.

Team Leader and Technical Support
Sira Security · Part-time

Sira Security specialized in video and audio surveillance systems. I owned the company's computer and network systems, supported staff in other offices remotely, and led a team of technicians installing, configuring and maintaining surveillance installations across client sites. The first job on the formal record, taken part time while I was still studying and already repairing machines on the side.
